Description

The church in the village of Vetren is called "St. Annunciation". It was built in 1881. The icons were painted by pope Nikolai and pope Pavlov from Shipka, and the frescoes by Petyu Ganin. The first priest before the Liberation was Greek and his name was Demir. After him were Kostadin Stoynov, Zahari Ivanov, Kuzman Andreev from Elhovo and others. During slavery there was a separate building in the church yard with a large room in it, where the school was housed.
